Cookie Policy

Bisnode uses cookies to improve performance and enhance the user experience for visitors to our website. This policy clarifies how we do this and how cookies are managed.

Our sites

Bisnode operates in 18 markets across Europa. Each market has a website that may or may not run all the below cookies. This includes bisnodegroup.com which is the Bisnode Group website.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is sent to your browser when you visit the website, and which your browser then sends back to us the next time you click on one of our pages. The cookie is stored on your computer or mobile device. The cookie contains a serial number that allows us to see if several consecutive visits come from the same computer. You can find more general information about cookies at AboutCookies.org.

What cookies does Bisnode use and why?

The main purpose of our cookies is to reliably measure the number of visitors to our site and the duration of each visit, to remember your user preferences and help analyze the website’s performance. We use a statistics program on the web server to achieve this.

Our cookies fall into two categories:

  • Essential cookies are required for the website to operate properly. They allow us to provide services such as improved performance for you as a visitor. If these are deactivated, a user will not be able to use these services.

  • Performance cookies are used to monitor website performance and for highlighting areas of the website that are relevant to the user’s visit. They allow us to correct errors and discover effective linking solutions. They do not collect information that can identify the user.

In appendix 1 in the end of this document you will find a comprehensive list of the cookies we use.

Chat function

Bisnode has a chat function on our webpage to make it easier for the user to get in contact with us if they have any questions. Using the live chat tool will place these the cookies in the link below on the user’s device.

How can I block cookies?

If you do not want to accept the use of cookies, you can set your browser to not accept cookies. You can also set your browser to let you choose if you want to accept cookies on a case-by-case basis. A dialogue box will then appear every time a server wants to store a cookie on your computer, asking if you want to accept the cookie.

You can find more information at AboutCookies.org which contains extensive information on managing cookies in most browsers.

Please note that if you choose to not accept Bisnodes cookies, we cannot guarantee that all pages on the website will function properly or have a satisfying performance.
